TIM DOWLING

Cinematographer

Born and raised on the sunny beaches of Santa Monica, CA, Tim began playing around with cameras at a very young age. His endless curiosities landed him a job with Girl and Chocolate Skateboards, where he became a pioneer and helped revolutionize skateboard cinematography at the age of 20.

Seeking to expand his horizons, Tim transitioned into the realm of unscripted television, capturing extreme shows like Deadliest Catch, Ax Men, and Intervention. Possessed with an even stronger desire to visually tell stories, Tim embraced an opportunity to work with acclaimed DP Larry Sher on the feature film Father Figures, a stepping stone that propelled him to work on the hit series Bones, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Documentary Now! and The Good Place.

Tim's path continues to evolve, and with his keen eye as camera operator and additional DP, he helped shape seasons 4 and 5 of FX's visually stunning, Mayans M.C.
